Effective January 12, The Child Center of NY's Cohen and Jamaica Family Wellness Centers will officially become Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) sites, joining Macari Family Wellness Center.
New York, NY — January 12, 2026 — The Child Center of NY announced today that its Cohen and Jamaica locations will officially become Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) sites effective January 12, joining the organization’s Macari location in delivering expanded, integrated behavioral health services to communities across Queens.
This expansion strengthens The Child Center’s ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and flexible care, ensuring that clients have access to the same high-quality behavioral health services across all three locations. As CCBHC sites, Cohen and Jamaica will offer a full continuum of care designed to meet the complex needs of children, families, and individuals through a team-based, community-centered model.
“Becoming a CCBHC at additional sites represents an important step forward in how we serve our communities,” said Traci Donnelly, Chief Executive Officer of The Child Center of NY. “This model allows us to deliver more integrated, responsive care while staying deeply rooted in our mission to support the mental health and well-being of the families we serve.”
The CCBHC model enables The Child Center to expand access to specialty services, including peer support, psychiatric rehabilitation, and resource coordination, while enhancing collaboration among multidisciplinary care teams. Clients benefit from greater continuity of care, improved coordination across services, and a more holistic approach to behavioral health.
Macari will continue to serve as the organization’s primary CCBHC site, with Cohen and Jamaica operating as satellite locations to ensure alignment, consistency, and seamless access to services across all sites.
The expansion reflects The Child Center’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its behavioral health infrastructure and responding to the evolving needs of New York City communities with evidence-based, person-centered care.
