WHY DID YOU BECOME INVOLVED AT THE CHILD CENTER?:
As adults, it's our responsibility to reach out to one another, whether it's done globally or locally. New York is a city of great opportunity and great need. After doing some research, I decided to reach out locally because there are so many vulnerable children who need help right here in our own backyard.

Ideally, there would be a mentor for every child, someone who helps them navigate their way through life, provides resources they would not otherwise have access to. Once I saw the work that The Child Center social workers, youth leaders, and administrative staff do on behalf of so many children, I knew I wanted to get involved in supporting them. For me it was as simple as taking a tour of The Child Center's facilities.

HOW CAN OTHERS GET INVOLVED?:
If you don't have the time to get involved in committee work, and the reality is that many people don't, you can "Sponsor a Child" for one year for $250. 100% of the funds go toward programs for children. You can really make a difference in the life of a child. Reach out---it's as simple as that.
